The IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 will take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE, from 9–15 October 2025. Held every four years, it is the world’s largest conservation event, uniting governments, scientists, Indigenous leaders, businesses, and civil society.

The Congress includes:

• Forum (9–12 Oct): exchange of knowledge and innovation.

• Exhibition (9–13 Oct): showcase of global conservation initiatives.

• Members’ Assembly (13–15 Oct): decision-making by IUCN Members.

The event will focus on five themes under “Powering transformative conservation”: scaling up action, reducing climate overshoot, delivering equity, transitioning to nature-positive economies, and driving innovation.
